Abstract: Tuberculous pleuritis is the most common form of EPTB and common cause of pleural effusion in India. TPE is more common in young healthy adults, results from Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection of the pleura, characterized by an intense chronic accumulation of fluid and inflammatory cells in pleural space.
