Crystal and Molecular Structure Analysis of (2-((6-Chloro pyridin-3-yl)methoxy)-5-methylphenyl)(p-tolyl)Methanone

Abstract

The title compound, (2-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methoxy)-5-methylphenyl)(p-tolyl) methanone, was synthesized and characterized spectroscopically and finally confirmed by (XRD) study. The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 =c with cell parameters a ¼ 9.4420(1) Å, b ¼ 7.9810(6) Å, c ¼ 23.777(4) Å, a ¼ 90 , b ¼ 90.883(3) , c ¼ 90 , V ¼ 1791.5(4) Å À3 , and Z ¼ 4. The structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bond of the type CÀH Á Á Á O.
