“…The public, particularly entrepreneurs, are concerned about conditions that negatively impact the environment, , such as industrialization and urbanization that have affected the quality of water supplies . Chemical contamination, especially wastewater generated by the textile industries, contains a significant amount of colors and toxic synthetic mixtures that are responsible for environmental toxicity and have affected the clarity and taste of water, making it unpleasant to consumers. , Water is one of the most valued assets on earth, but it contains a lot of pollutants, including metal ions, anions, phenol, dyes, detergents, and pesticides . Textile dyeing uses a dye pigment to color the products, and the dye causes problems with light penetration into water and interference with photosynthesis as well as with human beings. , In addition to being toxic and carcinogenic, some dyes pose a serious environmental and human health risk .…”

“…25,26 However, to our knowledge, there have been no reported studies on the utilisation of laser treatment for the fabrication of metal-doped m-TiO 2 . In addition, due to the large surface area and tunable porosity, metal-doped m-TiO 2 has been widely used in the field of photocatalytic water splitting, 27 degradation of pollutants and organic dyes, 28 energy storage, 29 biosensing, 30 antibacterial applications. 31 Therefore, developing a rapid and scalable method to process metal-doped m-TiO 2 will potentially contribute not only to the perovskite community but also to a broader audience in the related fields engaged with using metal-doped m-TiO 2 .…”

“…The photocatalytic capacity of a material is dependent on its redox ability. In other words, the photocatalyst with a wide band gap meets the following conditions: the conduction band (CB) is lower than the reduction potential of water (−0.046 eV) and the valence band (VB) is higher than the oxidation potential of water (2.38 eV), normally demonstrating strong redox ability and high degradation capacity. As a commonly seen wide band gap photocatalyst, titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) ( E g > 3.0 eV for both rutile and anatase TiO 2 ) proved to be capable of organic pollutant degradation under irradiation with ultraviolet (UV) light. Nevertheless, due to the low solar energy utilization and high carrier recombination rate, its application in photocatalytic degradation is limited. Accordingly, excavating photocatalysts with a broad light adsorption spectrum and a low electron–hole recombination is a topic that needs continuous exploration.…”
