Abstract:ADP-dependent glucokinase (ADPGK) produces glucose-6-phosphate with adenosine diphosphate (ADP) as the phosphate group donor, in contrast to ATP-dependent hexokinases (HKs). Originally found in archaea, ADPGK is involved in glycolysis.
