Tuta absoluta is a key pest of both field and greenhouse tomatoes (Giorgini et al, ) and can cause losses of as much as 100% if control measures are not implemented in time (Lopez, ; Picanço, Leite, Guedes, & Silva, ; Tropea, Siscaro, Biondi, & Zappalà, ).
