Cyberdelinquency

Abstract

Cyberdelinquency is a composite term that refers to misdeeds carried out predominantly online by young people. Delinquency itself can be seen as a broad concept relating to juvenile antisocial behaviors that include crime, deviance, offense, and vice committed by individuals who are below the legal age of criminal responsibility but above a certain minimum age. The particularity in this case lies in the context in or scope with which the delinquent behavior is committed, mainly cyberspace as opposed to “meatspace.”
