Cyclical browning in a subtropical lake inferred from diatom records

Abstract: Changing climate and land use activity are altering inputs of colored dissolved organic carbon (cDOC) into lakes. Increased cDOC reduces water transparency (browning) and changes lake physicochemistry, with biological consequences.
