Cyclodextrins, Their Value in Pharmaceutical Technology

Abstract: Cyclodextrins a r e cyclic oligosaccharides consisting of i3 variable number of glucose units (usually 6 to 81.Thje ring formed by cyclodextrins is externally v e r y hydrophilic and relatively apolar internally .In liquid o r solid medium, these mlollecules a r e capable of forming inclusion compounds with many o t h e r molecules. The inclusion compdunds t h u s formed display interesting propertiesin comparison witlh the s t a r t i n g molecule.
