“…As a typical example, the continuous SAPO-5 membranes could be fabricated via the in situ crystallization method, but the AlPO 4 -5 analogues could not, until now. On the other hand, the isomorphous substitution of framework atoms by transitional metals could provide redox active sites on molecular sieves for heterogeneous catalysis [ 43 ]. MnAPSO-5 crystals possessed almost the same morphology and size as SAPO-5 ( Figure 4 ).…”

“…As aforementioned, a number of transitional metal ions could be incorporated into the framework of AFI molecular sieves for various potential applications [ 43 , 45 ]. Several metallic elements such as Cr, Co, Fe, and Mn were added into the reaction systems to synthesize MeAPSO-5 membranes in this study.…”

“…[44,45] Additionally, in FT-IR spectra of the catalysts a shift of the Al-O-P band from 1108 cm -1 (APO-5) to 1074 cm -1 (ZrAPO (0.20)) (Fig. 3b) indicated the replacement of Al or P for Zr, [46] Furthermore, a new peak at around 3668 cm -1 assigned to terminal P-OH groups [47][48][49] appeared after the incorporation of Zr, which was also in line with results obtained by 27 Al and 31 P solid-state MAS NMR spectroscopy (Fig. S6), where a broad peak belonging to P-OH defect groups [47,50] was formed after the introduction of Zr with a positive area relationship to the metal content.…”

“…One member of this family, AlPO4-5 [4] (AFI-framework type [5]) has become the object of increasing interest thanks to its potential technological and industrial applications [6,7,8]. AFIframework is characterized by a monodimensional channel system defined by 12-membered tetrahedral rings (12MR) (Figure 1), suitable for hosting organic molecules and polymers.…”
