Cylindrical Electromagnets: An Accurate Magnetic Equivalent Circuit

Abstract:Cylindrical electromagnets are used in various industries. The geometric
structure and circular symmetry of these electromagnets reduce flux
leakage and increase their efficiency. In this paper, a precise magnetic
equivalent circuit for the cylindrical electromagnet is presented and
its permeance relations are proved. In order to evaluate the proposed
model, the magnetic field in different parts of the cylindrical
electromagnet was calculated and compared with the simulation results.
