Abstract:THE MEIOTIC behavior and morphology of pollen grains of four species of Asteraceae (Glebionis coronaria, Anacyclus monanthos, Matricaria recutita and cotula barbata) were studied. Glebionis coronaria, Anacyclus monanthos and Matricaria recutita showed nine chromosome bivalents while those of Cotula barbata showed eight chromosome bivalents.
