Abstract:Drugs that kill tumors through multiple mechanisms have potential for broad clinical benefits, with a reduced propensity to resistance. We developed BipotentR, a computational approach to find cancer-cell-specific regulators that simultaneously modulate tumor immunity and another oncogenic pathway. Using tumor metabolism as proof-of-principle, BipotentR identified 38 candidate immune-metabolic regulators by combining epigenomes with bulk and single-cell tumor transcriptomes from patients. Inhibition of top can… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
