Death from rabies: The reason being poor compliance to vaccination or it's failure

Abstract: Rabies is endemic in India and responsible for 20,000 human deaths every year. It is 100% preventable when the vaccine is taken along with proper wound care and rabies immunoglobulin administration though update continues regarding the requirement of the number of vaccine doses, the need for immunoglobulin, and if required their types. We study four cases of rabies having street dogs' bite category grade 3. Everyone took vaccines at least three doses but none of them took rabies immunoglobulin. They developed … Show more

“…It follows as a consequence of this result that when the disease process in which rabies is exerted by its virus is switched to the curative state, clinicians become able to prevent the deaths that follow the emergence of symptoms from this process in contradiction to the assumption that they are as powerless today in the face of these symptoms as their colleagues in Mesopotamia were 40 centuries ago because rabies is the most lethal infectious disease. 17 Reality accommodates this result in the fact that while death follows these dreaded symptoms in spite of rabies vaccination, 18,19 an adolescent who recovered from the symptomatic rabies disease process in 2004 without receiving the rabies vaccine has since survived while the novel therapy to which this survival was initially attributed, which is known as the Milwaukee Protocol, has since failed to bring about such survival 20 in at least 53 attempts. 21 Through the spectrality paradigm, we see that rabies deaths are not due to a single disease that the Milwaukee Protocol cures but rather due to the effects of the pathological response to different diseases and therefore that sustainable survival followed this therapy in that adolescent in spite of the absence of treatments that can effectively target any of their causes because the process remained switched to the curative state long enough.…”
