Abstract:Introduction: The objective was to create multilayer cellular constructs using fetal or adult, decellularized articular cartilage in particulate form as microcarriers for expansion and fusion of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to regenerate the stratified structure of articular cartilage.
