Abstract:SINE-VNTR-Alu (SVA) retrotransposons are transposable elements which represent a source of genetic variation. We previously demonstrated that the presence/absence of a human-specific SVA, termed SVA_67, correlated with the progression of Parkinson´s Disease (PD).
