Defects in Crystals under Pressure

Abstract: Defects in crystals compressed by high hydrostatic pressure are examined within the frameworks of a non‐linear theory of elasticity. Two states are introduced. The ideal non‐loaded crystal corresponds to the first state and the hydrostatically compressed one to the second state. The theory of internal stresses in the linear approximation is constructed according to distortions produced by defects in hydrostatically compressed crystals.
