Abstract:Defects in crystals compressed by high hydrostatic pressure are examined within the frameworks of a non‐linear theory of elasticity. Two states are introduced. The ideal non‐loaded crystal corresponds to the first state and the hydrostatically compressed one to the second state. The theory of internal stresses in the linear approximation is constructed according to distortions produced by defects in hydrostatically compressed crystals. It is shown that in the anisotropic case the crystal moduli are also renorm… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
