Abstract:A spherical, pink, aerobic, Gram-stain-positive bacterial strain (MIMF12T) was isolated from rhizosphere soil collected in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, PR China. Cellular growth of the strain was observed at pH 6.0–8.0 (optimum, pH 7.0), at 20–37 °C (optimum, 28 °C) and with 0–1 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0 %). Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain MIMF12T was most closely related to
Deinococcus terrestris
