Abstract:We present a time-resolved measurement of the photodissociation and photoisomerization dynamics of bromoform (CHBr 3 ) in the mono-and di-cationic states produced by near-infrared (NIR) strong-field ionization. The dissociation process is probed by NIR-induced Coulomb explosion imaging. We find that for dissociation channels involving production of HBr and Br 2 fragments, which require the formation of new bonds, the dissociation appears to be delayed with respect to the primary C−Br bond dissociation channel.… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
