Abstract:Based on interconnected ion sputtering and cathodoluminescence spectroscopy, an optical spectroscopic strategy has been developed to profile depth-dependent polarization effects in an AlGaN multiple-quantum-well (MQW) structure. Two emission bands at about 258 nm and 315 nm have been identified to originate from the quantum wells and Ga-rich domains, respectively, and their depth-dependent spectral characteristics reveal that the spontaneous polarization dominates the piezoelectric polarization in the quantum … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
