Description and classification of bivalve mollusks hemocytes: a computational approach

Abstract: The fractal formalism in combination with linear image analysis enables statistically significant description and classification of “irregular” (in terms of Euclidean geometry) shapes, such as, outlines of in vitro flattened cells.
