The folk art style contains rich traditional cultural knowledge, which not only has a strong symbolic meaning, but also has the role of cultural inheritance. Its connotation always runs through the ideological subconscious of every generation of Chinese people, affecting people's thinking and creation. It is precisely because the local cultural characteristics of folk art styling are obvious that many anime characters have an inseparable relationship with them. In the process of designing anime image, some folk art styling features are borrowed. Therefore, folk art styling is important for the design of avatar images.

The paper introduces a Digital Image Watermarking technique based on Transform domain. The purpose of doing the watermarking in transform domain is to give more robustness in the watermarking process looking into its fast real time implementation and also the computational complexity which comes often in the implementation process. In the proposed algorithm, a binary watermark is embedded in a grayscale image(cover image). The cover image is segregated into blocks of high and low variances. The cover image is transformed into frequency domain and comparative higher variance blocks are considered for embedding the binary watermark. Integer portion of the transformed DC coefficients of the considered blocks undergoes binary conversion and binary bits of watermark are embedded in those co-efficients. Both Walsh Transform and Walsh Hadamard transform are used for frequency domain conversion of the image and to make a comparative study as well. Software simulation of the algorithm is done using MATLAB

This paper focuses on the design of an improved Discrete Fast Walsh Hadamard Transform (DFWHT) domain digital image watermarking algorithm and its low complexity as well as fast hardware architecture implementation on Xilinx based (version 14.7 Virtex-7 series) FPGA with target device xc7vx1140t-1flg1930, with maximum achieved frequency of 259.202 MHz. The architecture proposed here is to our best knowledge is the first architecture for the corresponding algorithm. Both encoding and extraction algorithm have been verified using MATLAB R2013a. Both grayscale and binary watermarks are used and only grayscale cover image of maximum size (256 x 256) is used. The algorithm and the architecture is applicable for both gray scale and binary watermarks.
