Design and Implementation of JMF-Based VOD System

Abstract

Video on Demand system is also known as interactive television-on-demand system. It is a two-way audio and video-on-demand system and realizes to play video program according to the user’s needs, which is based on the new concept of “user independent”. This paper briefly introduces the concept of video-on-demand system, streaming media transmission protocol, JMF features and structure and describes the overall structure and function of each part of the on-demand system.
