Design and Simulation Verification of New Miniaturized Dual-frequency Microstrip Antenna

Abstract: Because of the problem that the global positioning system (GPS) fails to locate subjects owing to the occlusion of satellite signals in some environments, a combined navigation and positioning scheme based on GPS and digital television multimedia broadcasting (DTMB) was proposed. The design process of a dual-frequency microstrip antenna was described in detail. Our simulation showed that the return loss was less than −10 dB, and the antenna had three resonance points, namely, 0.
