Design and Small Signal Analysis of a 0.2THz Sheet Beam BWO Based on the Double Staggered Metallic Rod Array

Abstract: A double staggered metallic rod array (DSMRA) as the slow wave structure (SWS) is proposed for a terahertz backward wave oscillator (BWO) due to its superior properties. The SWS has a wider region of uniform electric field therefore a sheet beam can be used for effective beam-wave interaction.
