Design of approximately linear phase lattice digital allpass filters via lattice parameters

Abstract: A design method of digital lattice allpass networks as linear phase subfilters for a class of approximately linear phase IIR filters is studied. Lattice parameters are directly used as variable parameters in a nonlinear optimization problem.A fast method based on iterative one-variable optimizations is also proposed for obtaining lattice parameters as initial values for the optimization algorithm.
