Abstract:A novel spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPP) structure is applied to the design of radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers (PAs) in this work. Both standard SSPP and the proposed SSPP structures are used as input and output matching networks of a multioctave PA design. An analysis and discussion of the electromagnetic characteristics of the proposed SSPP structures is presented.
