Abstract:In literatures, the performance of Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) has been analyzed by assuming the same quality for each hop. However, this assumption is hardly true in practice due to the physical obstructions of wireless link, especially for an indoor environment. Therefore, this paper revisits the analysis of WMN performance by taking the effect of physical obstructions into account instead of assuming an equally deterministic property for each hop. These obstructions cause the degradation of signal strength … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
