Design of Visibility Forecasting System on Freeways Based on the Internet of Things

Abstract: This paper aims at designing a visibility forecasting system on freeways based on the Internet of Things. Physical processes of fog formation on freeways are explored by the related real data and circulation background fields, and then some characteristics are presented through the forecasting model. The paper introduces the Zigbee protocol into the hardware design of the system, in which the epigenous machines can analyze the received data dynamically.
