Design optimization of lightweight structures inspired by the rostrum in Cyrtotrachelus buqueti Guer (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

Abstract: The rostrum of Cyrtotrachelus buqueti Guer has excellent mechanical properties, such as high-specific strength and high-specific stiffness, and it is an example of successful evolution in nature.
