Abstract:Novel superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) were synthesized by performing aqueous solution graft copolymerization of potato starch xanthate and partially hydrolyzed acrylamide using N,N′-methylene-bis-acrylamide as a crosslinker and potassium persulfate as an oxidant at 35–45°C.
