Abstract:A 70-year-old man who smoked was referred to our hospital because of progressive cough and dyspnea. Radiologic images showed ground-glass attenuation predominantly in the lower lung lobes. A surgical lung biopsy was performed, and a diagnosis of desquamative interstitial pneumonia (DIP) was made.
