Abstract:The detailed breakup characteristics of the liquid jet fuel, Jet-A, in crossflow to various ranges of momentum flux ratios and Weber numbers have been investigated using a high-fidelity compressible multi-phase numerical technique. Multi-phase large eddy simulation with adaptive mesh refinement and Eulerian to Lagrangian transformation are applied to the homogeneous mixture model.
