Detection and characterization of GTP‐binding proteins in the chloroplast envelope of spinach (Spinacia oleracea)

Abstract: Proteins binding guanosine triphosphate (GTP) have emerged as important regulators in several cellular processes in plants. To investigate any role of such proteins in chloroplast functions, we subjected envelope, stroma and thylakoid fractions isolated from spinach chloroplasts to two different GTP-binding assays.
