Abstract:Vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques (AP) can be assessed by coronary artery imaging techniques. Intravascular ultrasound allows real-time assessment of the longitudinal and transverse dimensions of the vessel, the severity of its remodelling, and the size and structure of the AP.
