Cases reported by Lubarsch (1929), Golden (1945) and Rigdon (1948) Though no petechiae were discovered in the gastro-intestinal tract at autopsy, their presence in the kidney was part of the amyloid picture. The kidneys were massively affected and diffusely scarred and infiltrated with lymphocytes and plasma cells, a common finding in amyloidosis.…”
