Detection of tissue coagulation for microwave surgical devices

Abstract: This paper describes the detection of tissue coagulation for a microwave surgical device. This method uses variations in the electrical properties of biological tissue before and after heating. To evaluate the proposed method, we made coagulated tissue and measured the impedance of the tissue using the microwave surgical device.
