Determining Higgs boson width at electron-positron colliders

Abstract:Probing Higgs width Γ h is critical to test the Higgs properties. In this work we propose to measure Γ h at the e + e − collider with a model-independent analysis under the Standard Model Effective Field Theory framework. We demonstrate that making use of the cross section measurements from e + e − → Zh, e + e − → ν e νe h production and Higgs decay branching ratios h → W W * /ZZ * /γγ, one could determine Γ h at a percentage level with a center of mass energy √ s = 250 and 350 GeV and integrated luminosity 5 … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
