The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed global business, aiding operational efficiency and innovation. It utilizes machine learning and big data analytics, driving predictive market trends and strategic decision‐making. However, despite the rising discussion and accessibility of AI tools, understanding its impact on international business remains limited. This article explores AI's potential in international business strategies, practices, and activities. To address this aim, we reviewed 37 articles in the existing literature to critically explore AI within the context of international business. More specifically, we explored how AI can be applied to innovation approaches in international business, international market selection, entry modes, foreign exchange, international human resource management, international supply chains, managing across cultures, and more topics. AI has necessitated changes in workplace configurations and the need for organizational and employee adjustments in response to this technology. As a result of the foregoing issues on AI integration within international business, our analysis provided an exploratory discussion around its use, challenges, managerial implications, and suggested areas requiring future studies.

Consumers often rely on electronic word‐of‐mouth (eWOM) interaction as a source of information about brands. It helps them in making decisions about their purchases. This study aimed to assess electronic word of mouth and identifies its relationship with various brand characteristics. 279 research articles examining eWOM and brand relationship were systematically identified and extracted from Scopus‐based and peer‐reviewed literature. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on these articles using bibliometrix‐R and VOSviewer. This review highlighted the most frequently cited and co‐cited articles in the domain and evolution of research in the domain using the SPAR‐4‐SLR methodology. Additionally, based on the Antecedent–Decisions–Outcome (ADO) framework, a comprehensive review was done which highlighted the most‐studied brand attributes as antecedents, decisions, and outcomes in the eWOM literature. This investigation revealed that the brand attitude was studied the most followed by brand image, brand engagement, and so forth. Further, the ADO framework is used to summarize this study's scholarly contributions, practical applications, and future research prospects. Furthermore, brand hate, authenticity, activism, congruence, and personality, co‐creation, and identity were deduced as future trends in this domain.

This study, through a bibliometric analysis, aims to provide increased knowledge of the evolution and effects of artificial intelligence over the last 30 years in customer engagement and advertising engagement. Articles were gathered from three databases by using combinations of keywords (artificial intelligence, customer engagement, advertising engagement, marketing, machine learning, etc.). A set of inclusion/exclusion criteria were then applied to obtain the final sample. The final sample was made up of 190 peer‐reviewed articles. Three separate analyses were performed to test the sample. A performance analysis identified the articles' years of publication, contributions per country and the performance/output of the relevant journals. A data analysis created 10 clusters; these are examined in depth, and provide explanations of the evolution of the relevant scientific production. The study's findings offer a wide perspective of research undertaken to date, and identify possible research gaps. This research contributes to the marketing field by bridging a gap, through undertaking a bibliometric analysis, in the research about the impact of artificial intelligence on customer and advertising engagement over the years 1991 through 2022. It offers scholars and researchers ideas for future research.
