Abstract: The Eetscore FFQ was developed to score the Dutch Healthy Diet index 2015 (DHD2015-index) representing the Dutch food-based dietary guidelines of 2015. This paper describes the development of the Eetscore FFQ, a short screener assessing diet quality, examines associations between diet quality and participants’ characteristics, and evaluates the relative validity and reproducibility of the Eetscore FFQ in a cross-sectional study with Dutch adults. “…Reproducibility of the Eetscore FFQ before surgery was considered good. The observed ICC of 0.78 was slightly lower than reported in previous research by de Rijk et al, who found an ICC of 0.91 for the total DHD2015-index score (15) . This could be due to a difference in study population as well as the multidisciplinary lifestyle program that all participants started https://doi.org/10.1017/S1368980022001501 Published online by Cambridge University Press Accepted manuscript before undergoing BS.…”

“…Accurate measurement of dietary intakes is crucial for researchers and public health institutions in studies aiming to improve general/specific health outcomes ( De Rijk et al, 2021 ; González-Alzaga et al, 2022 ). Diet assessment is mainly based on Food Frequency Questionnaires (FFQs) that inquire individuals about the frequency at which they consume different food items from a predefined list ( Sotos-Prieto et al, 2015 ).…”
