Development and evaluation of a simple and easy high‐performance liquid chromatography–ultraviolet system simultaneously suitable for determination of 24 anti‐epileptic drugs in plasma

Abstract: We aim to establish a simple and easy high-performance liquid chromatography system coupled with an ultraviolet detector suitable for simultaneous determination of 24 antiepileptic drugs in human plasma. Optimized chromatographic separation was performed on a ZORBAX Eclipse Plus-C18 (4.6 × 150 mm 2 , 3.5 μm) column with acetonitrile and 5 mM potassium dihydrogen phosphate water solution as mobile phase. Note that, 24 antiepileptic drugs were divided into three groups and eluted with different gradient procedur… Show more

“…High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with spectrometry has become an important technique for the monitoring of PHT, PHB or LTG in environmental water, urine, and plasma. 17,22,23 During this process, the extraction and separation of PHT, PHB or LTG from matrices is the rst and key step. Recently, solid-phase extraction (SPE) based on molecularly imprinted polymers has aroused comprehensive attention from scientists in the elds of environmental and biomedical analysis, [24][25][26] which has been successfully applied in the determination of PHT, PHB or LTG in environmental water, urine, serum, and plasma.…”

“…Liquid chromatography is still the most applicable technique of choice for the analysis of drugs, pharmaceuticals, amino acids, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and polymers, [27][28][29][30][31]. Based on the aforementioned revealed date; the proposed HPTLC-densitometric method was a must as the first determination of CN, MT, their respective major degradation products, DG, CG, and MT toxic impurity, ML in laboratory prepared mixtures and pharmaceutically formulated combinations containing CN and MT after ICH validation and statistically comparing the proposed method's results with those of the reported method [9].…”
