Abstract:The four most used antimicrobial preservatives in biopharmaceutical parenteral formulations are phenol, meta‐cresol, chlorobutanol, and benzyl alcohol. Preservatives are included in various combinations in biopharmaceuticals highlighting the importance of an analytical method to quantify the four preservatives simultaneously.
