Abstract: The objective of this article is to discuss the relationship between socioeconomic development and the execution of the United Nations peacekeeping missions during the 2000s. It focuses on Haiti’s case study, where the operation approved by the un Security Council was commanded by Brazil between 2004 to 2017.
