Abstract:Small animal PET plays a major role in studying molecular processes in vivo. However, the spatial resolution of small animal PET is limited by physical effects like positron range, photon non-collinearity, and object scattering. The aim of this project was to minimize the influence of the non-collinearity effect by reducing the distance between the coincidence detectors leading to an improved spatial resolution. A multi-wire proportional chamber-based high-resolution PET scanner (quadHIDAC) wa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
