Abstract: Background: Zoonotic schistosomiasis, caused by Schistosoma japonicum, remains prevalent in China, the Philippines and small foci of Indonesia. Rapid point-of-care (POC) diagnostic tools are attractive and promising tools for evaluating the efficacy of intervention strategies against schistosomiasis.
