Abstract: Background and purpose Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator is indicated in patients with dilated non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (DCM) and severely depressed left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) after a wait-and-see period of 3–9 months under optimised medical therapy.
