Abstract:The development of a spectral-spatial calibration source suitable for a double Fourier modulating interferometer at infrared wavelengths, or more generally a thermal IR or spectral imager, is described. In particular a calibrator is being developed by alternating, on the emitting surface, materials of different emissivities. Its characterization and the rationale behind this choice is given, together with some preliminary validation tests. Finally a discussion on the performances and future improvements is pro… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
