Development of Framework to Promote Sustainable Living Through Resource Conservation

Abstract

The advent of digital transformation has shaped global landscape with an increased consumption of resources eg energy & water. Environmental scientists are concerned of urgent needs to explore innovative ways to conserve or mass produce resources with interconnected network to facilitate communication globally. This Chapter elaborates on research framework with summary to leverage on emerging technologies to investigate how IoT enable a computational analysis to envisage a system that works on positive and sustainable consumption of energy and other resources. Mixed-research method is implemented with qualitative approaches including literature research on emerging technologies sustainable cloud computing technique for IoT. Within/exemplary-case analysis made to illustrate a methodological framework on IoT application in solving contextual problems via energy-efficient sensors in building sustainable cities in line with SDGs. Quantitative analysis include data analysis using e-tools.
