Development of Infusion Device Analyzer Equipped with Occlusion Detection and a Real-Time Parameters Monitoring on Computer System

Abstract: Medical infusion device provides drugs or fluids directly through a blood vessel. However, the occurrence of occlusion in the infusion device causes the incoming drug fluid does not to flow constantly, and pressure is formed on the infusion tube. When an infusion device has been used for a long time, there will be a change in the precision of the flow and pressure values. Furthermore, a calibration process must be carried out at least once a year. This research aims to design an infusion device analyzer which … Show more

“…Flow rate and residual volume readings were generated by an Arduino Nano, and the measurement results are displayed in realtime on the TFT display with the ability to save data to an SD card. [22] the study by Farisadina Tyagita designed an instrument analyzer. Infusion use an infrared photodiode sensor to display graphical time representation of actual flow parameters over time and numerical average on a PC via Microsoft Excel.…”

“…Regular calibration of infusion pumps and syringe pumps using tools like the IDA contributes to patient safety and ensures the delivery of precise and effective healthcare services. It also demonstrates the commitment of healthcare providers to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and reliability in their equipment, ultimately benefiting both healthcare professionals and patients alike [14] [15]. An infusion pump is a vital medical device used to administer liquid nutrients or medications in precise doses to patients through their blood vessels.…”
