Abstract:Two laser systems were developed by the ASACUSA collaboration of CERN to carry out spectroscopy experiments on antiprotonic atoms. One of these was a continuous-wave pulse-amplified dye laser which was frequency-stabilized to a femtosecond frequency comb. The other generated 700-ps-long laser pulses of wavelengths λ = 266 and 532 nm using two stimulated Brillouin scattering cells filled with water.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
