Pediatric clinicians must ensure that a focus on vessel health and preservation is evident from the child's earliest exposure to healthcare. The ability to ensure long-term vessel health and preservation from infancy into adulthood and the prevention of complications associated with VAD in pediatrics are key components to ensure successful, efficient, lifelong healthcare.
